Fitbit owners with an iPhone can now link their workouts, steps, vitals, and other Fitbit data directly to Apple Health. Google is rolling out version 5.05 of Google Health, which adds direct syncing of Fitbit data to Apple Health, as reported earlier by 9to5Mac. The new option is available from Google Health: tap your profile icon, select 'Partner apps,' and choose Apple Health to connect your data. Fitbit data can then flow directly into Apple Health. Previously, Google Health only supported importing Apple Health data into its own app—not the other direction. To get Fitbit data into Apple Health, users had to rely on third-party apps such as Power Sync for Fitbit or Fitbit to Apple Health Sync, or use some other workaround. With the 5.05 update, that one-way limitation is gone. Fitbit data can now be sent directly to Apple Health without extra apps or workarounds, and the rollout is underway. Somali Fitbit owners who use an iPhone can now add their health data to Apple Health directly, without needing third-party apps. The new link keeps health tracking in one place.
