Xbox Prices Surge Across the EU and UK

Published:

Microsoft announced another round of Xbox price increases in June but initially provided only US pricing. The new prices for the European Union and United Kingdom have now emerged, revealing substantial increases. Some Xbox models are rising by as much as €200 in the EU and £170 in the UK. The 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive is increasing from £499.99 to £669.99 in the UK, a rise of more than 30%. Its European price is moving from €599.99 to €799.99. The 512GB Xbox Series S is receiving an increase of more than 43%. Its price is climbing from £299.99 to £429.99 in the UK and from €349.99 to €499.99 in Europe. Other consoles have also become more expensive as RAM and storage prices rise amid demand from the AI industry. None of those increases, however, has been as dramatic as Microsoft's. Somalis living in Europe and the UK will now face a substantially higher cost when buying a new Xbox, potentially prompting some shoppers to delay a purchase or consider a used console instead.
