Rockstar Games has released a 26-minute presentation titled "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look", offering its broadest view yet of Vice City before the game’s November 19 console release. The video premiered as a time-exclusive on Netflix before being set to arrive on Rockstar’s YouTube channel a few hours later. The reveal came after gameplay leaks spread online, which Rockstar addressed earlier this week. The footage was run on a standard PlayStation 5 rather than a PS5 Pro. It shows a major visual step up from the nearly 13-year-old GTA 5. Vice City’s streets appear busier than Los Santos, with more traffic and pedestrians. Building interiors also show furniture, lighting and smaller architectural details. Jason and Lucia can choose lines of dialogue when they speak to people in the open world, in a feature similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. Players can also interact with more of the environment, including switching lights on and off inside buildings. That suggests some missions could support an approach closer to Hitman. Combat looks like a refined version of GTA 5’s, with greater gun control and improved ragdoll physics. Slow-motion killcams have also been added for headshots. The wanted system has been reworked: the familiar five-star display remains, while an on-screen breakdown lists the factors driving police attention, including CCTV visibility, nearby enemy numbers, gun noise and the player’s clothing. Cars can be entered with a slim jim or by smashing a window. One sequence shows Lucia burning the car she was driving with a Molotov cocktail after escaping police, suggesting that covering tracks may affect how much police attention players attract. Jason and Lucia are seen entering an 1980s German convertible resembling a BMW 3 Series, while the Dinka Blista also appears in the footage. The roads include random events, such as a recovery truck blocking a highway lane. Racing also appears to have a larger place in the game, with an asphalt track, a dirt track and a street-race scene reminiscent of Rockstar’s Midnight Club series. Despite its 26-minute length, the presentation did not reveal the true size of the map and gave little away about the story. GTA 6 will cost $79.99 for the base game when it launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, after two delays from its original 2025 release plan. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC version or given a release window. GTA 5 reached PC 19 months after its initial PS3 and Xbox 360 launch. A release date for GTA 6’s online mode, expected after launch, is also unknown. The $79.99 price and current-console-only launch mean Somali players using PCs or older consoles will not be able to play on day one. For GTA followers in Soomaaliya, waiting for a PC version or obtaining newer hardware may be a practical choice before release.
