Two Ring Video Doorbells Get Price Cuts at Major Retailers
Ring has discounted two of its well-rounded video doorbells, the Wired Doorbell Pro and Battery Doorbell Plus. The Wired Doorbell Pro is now $199, a saving of $50, while the Battery Doorbell Plus costs $119.99 after a $60 discount. Both deals are available at Amazon and Best Buy. These are the second-lowest prices seen for the two devices, sitting just $20 above their Prime Day lows. Aside from how they are powered, the main difference is video quality. The hardwired Wired Doorbell Pro records sharper 4K video and can automatically respond to visitors with prerecorded messages. The battery-powered Battery Doorbell Plus has fewer features and records slightly less sharp 2K video. Both devices provide a head-to-toe view of the doorstep and support motion detection, two-way talk, and color night vision. A $4.99 monthly subscription adds more specific alerts for people, packages, and vehicles. The $19.99 Ring Pro plan includes additional AI features, such as facial recognition and text-based activity summaries. Those features are free for the first month. Both doorbells also work with Amazon Alexa. Users can view a live feed on a compatible Echo Show smart display and receive audible announcements when someone rings the doorbell. Somali households in markets where these products are available can use the discounts to gain a remote view of visitors and speak with them at the door. The battery-powered model may be particularly practical for renters who prefer to avoid hardwiring.
