Halloway is a text-based puzzler set in a mysterious, labyrinthine manor. Players explore its wings and rooms, solving puzzles from the clues provided in the text. It has little graphical flair, but it has an odd, almost surreal atmosphere. The game is reminiscent of Cultist Simulator and other Weather Factory titles, which value text as much as graphics and are distinctive for it. If you are sceptical, the free Foyer level lets you try the core mechanics before paying. The paid version adds three more expansive wings, bringing the total number of rooms to seventy-five.
